Applications for direct recruitment against 72 vacancies (SC15, ST01, OBC19 and Unreserved37) and 12 vacancies of reserved category of the recruitment year 2009 (SC 07, ST01, OBC04 in pursuance with the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos. 19561957 of 2015 – Nawal Kishore Mishra & Others Vs. High Court of Judicature at Allahabad through its Registrar General & Ors. Etc.) of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service are invited from Advocates of not less than 7 years standing as on the last date fixed for the submission of application forms, who must have attained the age of 35 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years as on 01.01.2017.
Age limit shall be higher by 3 years in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates belonging to the State of U. P. only. There shall be 20% horizontal reservation for women belonging to State of U.P. only. (Reservation for SC/ST/OBC /Women categories will be applicable for the candidates belonging to State of U.P. only).
The application shall be filled online (www.allahabadhighcourt.in) from 19th May , 2016 to 18th June, 2016 till 23:59 hours after which the link will be disabled.
The hard copy of the Online submitted application form may be downloaded/printed upto 23rd June, 2016 till 23:59 hours.
A Preliminary Examination (objective type) will be held on 31stth July, 2016 at Allahabad and only those candidates shall be called to appear in the Main Written Examination who secure 45% or more marks in the Preliminary Examination, provided candidates not more than 20 times of number of vacancies categorywise i.e. separately for General, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes shall be admitted to the Main Written Examination.
In addition to submission of online application, the downloaded hard copy of the application form along with required documents as mentioned in the instructions are to be submitted as follows :
(i) The Advocates practising within the State of U.P.: before the District & Sessions Judge of the District or the Registrar General, High Court Allahabad, Senior Registrar, Lucknow Bench, Lucknow, as the case may be after obtaining requisite forwarding on or before 3rd July, 2016
(ii)The Advocates practising outside the State of U.P. The candidates shall obtain requisite forwarding by the District and Sessions Judge of the District/Registrar General/Registrar of the High Courts/Secretary General of the Supreme Court as the case may be.
Duly filled in and forwarded application form to be sent directly by the candidate by Registered/Speed Post to the Registrar (Selection & Appointment) High Court of Judicature at Allahabad so as to reach on or before 3rd July, 2016.

Examination Fee for General/OBC category candidates is Rs. 1000/, Rs.750/ for S.C./S.T. candidate belonging to State of U.P. only and Rs.1000/ for all candidates belonging to other states.Note1: No application regarding inspection of answer scripts of Preliminary and Main Written Examination shall be entertained after one year from the date of declaration of final result of that recruitment year.
