About the organiser

Legal Angles Patna (LAP) is an organization of young advocates and law students who are dedicated to the cause of justice in the society. In its newly established Legal Office in Patna, Bihar which primarily deals in Civil as well as Criminal suits including- Public Interest Litigation (PILs), Writs, Bail Cases, Corporate cases, Mediation and Disputes related to family matters in the Hon’ble Patna High Court and adjoining district courts. Currently, there are 3 Legal Partners in LAP who are practicing advocates of the Hon’ble Patna High Court.

About the essay competition

The world is going through a pandemic and people are locked in their homes and so are the law students. The best way to utilise this quarantine is to do something constructive and learn as much as you can. Keeping in mind the best interests of the law students, Legal Angles Patna have decided to conduct a National Level Online Essay Writing Competition.

Who is it for/eligibility

Any Law Student who is pursuing/completed his/her Bachelors or Masters degree in Law.

Essay topics/theme

Themes:

1. Pandemic Crisis and Human Rights
2. Technology and the future of Judicial System
3. Quasi-Judicial System and Post-retirement Controversy
4. Challenges under ADR and Outside Court Settlement
5. The role of Intellectual Property Rights in developing nations and their local products

Prizes, if any

Perks & Prizes:

1. Top 10 Essays (Rank 1 & 2 from all 5 themes) will be uploaded as blogs on our website.
2.  Top 5 winners (Rank 1 from all 5 themes) will get a Book and Online Internship Opportunity in our organization.
3. All the Participants will get an E-Certificate.

1. A nominal registration fee of Rs. 100/- is to be paid by all the participants. They will receive an email for payment after registration through the google form.
2. Last date to Register: 22^nd April, 2020

How to Submit?

Procedure for submission:

a)After successful registration and payment, you will receive an email for the Essay Submission. You will have to upload the Essay in Word Document.

b)Don’t get confused with themes & title. Theme shall strictly be followed; however you are free to choose your own title.

c)Word Limit: 2000-2500 Words.

d)Font Size: 12, Times New Roman.

e)Footnotes-not required.

f)Last date to submit: 5^th May, 2020

g)Result Announcement: 15^th May, 2020
