Marketing may not be on the top of your to-do list as a lawyer but it is surely an important one. It’s critical to step up the marketing and build a clear value plan to stay competitive in an already crowded legal market. The first impression lasts. When a prospective client searches for a law firm, the top results are usually considered, your digital impression matters to a prospective client. The biggest mistake most legal consultants make is that they do not focus on the quality of their website. The design of your website, its content, how easy it is to reach the desired page, etc, these are all important pointers to be kept in mind. You should avoid the mistake of making a lousy website by all means. Your website strengthens your online presence. It is one of your marketing tools. The truth is that you will get the best leads from your website.

 

What are Digital Impressions?

Digital impression is basically any form digital media that is rendered on the viewers screen. When potential clients visit your website, they categorise your legal business immediately and automatically. According to Google research, your prospective client’s initial impression of your law practise occurs before they’ve even considered what they see on your website. The outcomes are determined by first impressions. All of it based on the website, the first reaction is the deal breaker.

Website of your law firm shapes the public’s perception. The value of your brand, the way your firm is perceived in the industry, the employees you are able to retain; it all depends on your firm’s brand value and identity. That identity is shaped by the tangible and intangible presentation factors you’ve created. Tangible factors being the layout, design, looks images, etc. Intangible factors cover the behaviour, values, prestige, etc. the tangible factors create an impact on the intangible ones, leading to assumptions about how the firm must be. Therefore, it is necessary to have the right first impression through digital means.

The next client must be looking for you right now, and as we saw, first impressions of your law practise can be formed in as little as 50 milliseconds. As per human behaviour research, “sensory information is absorbed into our conscious experience in 500 milliseconds or half a second.”

First impressions are important, and you can leverage your law firm marketing strategies to create a website that makes a strong first impression. This perspective influences the consequences, which define the long-term success or failure of your law practise.
